Our team developed and implemented processes and procedures that exceeded our customers’ standards while increasing profitability by 400% over a three-year period and productivity by 20%.
Accomplishments:
- Opened 2 distribution centers for global paper manufacturing company expanding operations from 50,000 square feet to over 800,000 square feet. Assumed their complex customer base to provide relief on their Chester, PA distribution center. Actual inventory accuracy in November 2007 was 99.4% on a goal of 98.5%.
- Improved inventory accuracy for major US beverage manufacturer from 98.2% in 2005 to 99.9% in 2006; this level was successfully maintained in subsequent years. Profitability increased 336% on same sales from 2005 to 2007. Their inventory audit team noted our operation as the best in the country.
- Expanded operations for leading US juice manufacturer from 380,000 square feet to over 500,000 square feet. Reversed the customer service rating from marginal in 2005 to superior in 2007 by employing a new management team and implementing a diverse training program for all staff levels. Nominated for “supplier of the year” as a result of our customer service.
- Received superior pest control and sanitation ratings from customer audits including ASI, AIB and 3rd party auditing firms at each facility.
- Awarded contract with major mine and safety manufacturer (renewal) in Pittsburgh, PA and new account in Edmonton, Alberta based on superior performance in our Pittsburgh and Toronto operations.
- Implemented strict safety procedures on all dock operations and developed safety and attendance award programs achieving record safe days with no lost time incidents. Reduced employee turnover by 20% year after year by changing hiring practices, setting expectations for performance and implementing redesigned training programs for all facility positions.
- Developed a customer profitability report for my facilities that was introduced at the 2005 NDC Management Meeting and implemented company-wide in 2007.
